The aims are to provide a qualification that:
  • Critically review learning theories to help them understand and develop their own professional practice and learners’ learning.
  • Design lessons and materials that meet curriculum and learners’ needs.
  • Evaluate strategies used to facilitate the learners’ learning to help them progress and achieve learning outcomes.
  • Evaluate teaching methodologies and their effectiveness in classroom management and students’ learning.
  • Analyze how formative assessment guides instruction and monitor the learners’ progress;
  • Evaluate their own professional practice, classroom management, lesson delivery and their impact on learners and their learning.

  • PGCET101. Education in the 21st Century and Pedagogy in Education
  • PGCET102. Classroom Management and Teaching Methodologies
  • PGCET103. Assessment and Feedback and Educator’s Professional Development
  • PGCET104 Practicum (Industrial Attachment)
The manner of Teaching:Lectures , tutorials and project assignments will be conducted within Trinity International College/PPR.

Entry Requirement

Minimum Age:Minimum 18 years of age

Academic Level:Degree Qualifications of any Discipline
Language Proficiency:
  • A minimum Grade of B4 in English Language for GCE ‘O’ Level or regional equivalent, or at least IELTS 6.0 or CEFR B2 or pass the English Proficiency Test at equivalent level conducted by Trinity International College (with a score of at least 60%).

  • English proficiency may be considered to have been met and an IELTS score may not be required if applicant possesses a Diploma/Degree qualification where English was the sole medium of instruction.

  • All applicants are subjected to the School’s assessment of eligibility for entry into the programme.

Attendance Requirement:
  • 90% for all learners who are under student pass (STP)
  • 75% for learners without STP
Academic Level:Pass all modules, including the Industrial 
Attachment (IA) module
